| Identity Raman Plate Reader
The Digilab IDENTITY Raman plate reader is a compact, low cost, high throughput, sensitive and easy to use Raman spectrometer that utilizes the convenient format of microtiter plates as a sampling medium. Microtitre plates in 96 or 384-well formats, coupled with IDENTITY software, provide unparalleled sample throughput for laboratories requiring analysis of a large number of samples. Unlike conventional Raman spectrometers, which analyze only a single sample at a time or require the coupling of a microplate accessory to expensive research Raman spectrometers, Digilab’s IDENTITY combines the performance of a research grade spectrometer with the throughput of a microtiter plate reader.
Raman spectroscopy offers many advantages over other spectroscopy and
analytical techniques with the "fingerprint" nature of the data
produced. Libraries of spectral data can be created, stored and easily
retrieved to allow users to rapidly and accurately perform sample
identification. Specific advantages include:

- They permit non-contact, non-destructive sampling and minimize sample handling
- Allow a sample to be measured directly or remotely through glass or translucent containers

The new IDENTITY Raman Spectrometer can be used with 96 or 384 well
microtiter plates, glass slides or an optional tablet holder. It is
fast and accurate and measures and analyzes samples in a 96 well plate
in under five minutes. The IDENTITY can be configured with either a
532nm or a 785 nm laser and plate adapters are available for measuring
liquids, powders and solid samples.
