GBOX gel documentation system for INFRARED imaging and analysis GBOX gel documentation system for INFRARED imaging and analysis

Key Features
  • True 16 bit 6 megapixel camera
  • Up to four times faster than the fastest laser-based infrared imaging systems
  • Larger imaging area than laser-based infrared imaging systems
  • Image Dylight and Alexa Fluor dyes and infrared dyes such as LI-COR IRDye®680 and IRDye®800
  • The IR6 is also ideal for chemiluminescence, chemifluorescence, fluorescence including multiplexing, and visible light applications
The G:BOX Chemi IR6 is a multi-application gel documentation system that has been specifically developed for infrared (IR) applications and applications involving fluorescently-stained proteins on multiplexed Western Blots.

The IR6 has a high resolution 6m pixel cooled CCD camera that allows users to image any combination of commercial IR dyes including LI-COR dyes (IRDye® 680 and IRDye® 800) or Thermo Fisher dyes (DyLight® 680 and DyLight® 800), as well as standard fluorescent and visible dyes in under 40 seconds.

The IR6 utilizes Syngene's new GeneSys image capture software. The GeneSys software selects the optimal filter/lighting combinations by utilizing its unique database containing imaging conditions for hundreds of commercially available DNA, RNA, protein and IR dyes. Users can then select their preferred protocol and the IR6 will automatically capture a high-quality image of the different dyes. GeneSys integrates with Syngene's novel plug-and-play epi lighting modules (please see below) that include lighting modules and matched filters for far red and infrared applications. Please click here for more information on Syngene's plug-and-play epi lighting modules.

The IR6 is an affordable alternative to more expensive laser-based IR scanners that are limited in their application because they cannot image many fluorescent or chemiluminescent dyes. By comparison the IR6 can generate high quality images of multiplexed IR Westerns in a fraction of the time of a laser-based scanner with the added benefit that it can also image all commercially available fluorescent, chemiluminescent and visible dyes as well.
